Audio unit removal tools (GV3301)
Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS)
cautionNOTICE: If the navigation system display module is to be removed for testing or new component installation, remove any audio media (if possible) from within the navigation system display module and return it to the customer. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the navigation system display module.
NOTE: When installing the audio unit removal tools, make sure that the wording on the audio unit removal tools is followed, TOP L (left-hand) indicates the top of the tool, left-hand side of the removal tool and TOP R (right-hand) indicates the top of the tool, right-hand side of the removal tool.
1. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s).

NOTE: Remove the audio unit removal tools from the navigation system display module before installing the original navigation system display module.
NOTE: When installing a new navigation system display module, the navigation system display module must be configured by selecting the Programmable Module Installation Routine on WDS.
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. NOTE: If a new navigation system display module is installed, the NEW INSTALLATION menu must be followed.
    NOTE: Make sure the navigation system CD ROM is installed in the navigation system display module before entering the NEW INSTALLATION menu.
    Switch the navigation system display module ON.

  1. NOTE: It is necessary to carry out part of the system diagnosis outside of the workshop. Make sure there are no large buildings/obstructions or metal objects in the immediate vicinity.
    With the navigation system display module in the navigation main menu. PRESS the S6 (EXTRA) button.

  1. SELECT NEW INSTALLATION and PRESS the right-hand rotary knob (ENTER), to continue to the next screen.

  1. Follow the instructions on the display, until calibration is confirmed in the display.
Removal Details

Item 2 : Navigation system display module
  1. cautionNOTICE: When detaching the navigation system display module, do not place excessive strain on the wiring harness.
    Detach the navigation system display module from the instrument panel.
Item 5 : Navigation system display module electrical connector
  1. Disconnect the navigation system display module electrical connector.

Installation Details

cautionNOTICE: The navigation system display module wiring harness and antenna cable must not become trapped when installing the navigation system display module.
  1. The navigation system display module rear support must engage with the audio unit support bracket.
