turbocharger operation TDI engine
Description and Operation
Vehicles without rail common rail injection
1-Turbocompresseur/collecteur
The turbocharger is composed of two elements , a turbine and a compressor both mounted on a single axis and accommodated in a casing . The turbocharger and the exhaust manifold is an integral unit , and although it is possible to separate them, they are not provided separately and should not be separated. Turbocharger bearings are supplied with engine oil through the oil supply pipe . The oil returns to the oil pan through the oil return pipe . The turbine of the turbocharger is mounted on the exhaust manifold and uses the energy of the exhaust gas to drive the compressor . The compressor draws air through the heat exchanger. The turbocharger is controlled by means of a discharge valve . The relief valve diverts a portion of exhaust gas from the turbine . The discharge valve is controlled by a control solenoid relief valve which is preset at the time of manufacture and should in no way suffer changes. Vehicles with common rail injection rail
1- diaphragm vacuum
2 - Turbocharger
3-Exhaust manifold
4 - screw mounting supply pipe oil turbocharger
5 - sealing washers pipe turbocharger oil supply An oil supply hose
6-An oil supply hose turbocharger
7 - return pipe oil turbocharger
8 - O-ring pipe turbocharger oil return
9 - fixing screw feed pipe turbocharger oil
10 - sealing washers pipe turbocharger oil supply
The vacuum diaphragm adjustment vane turbocharger vane adjusts the turbocharger according to the vacuum provided by the solenoid regulating vane turbocharger . The valve adjustment palettes turbocharger is controlled by the engine management ( PCM ) . The actual boost pressure of the turbocharger is controlled by the setting of the turbocharger vane , making the use of a control valve discharge valve unnecessary. The vacuum diaphragm adjustment vane turbocharger is preset at the time of manufacture and should in no way suffer changes.
