Monitoring and Verification

-1 -Check the incident reported by the customer.

-2- Perform a visual inspection to detect any electrical damage evident.

-Fuse (s).
-Wiring harness.
-Connector.


If the check reveals an obvious problem, fix it (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.

If the cause of the incident is not visually evident, verify the symptom and refer to the tab diagnostic diagnostic equipment Ford.

Control components

Relay engine management (PCM).
 


 



 

Check contact work not connected to the state:

Measure the resistance between PCM relay pin 3 and pin 5, component side.
The measured resistance is it than 10,000 ohms?
If yes, go to 2.
If not, REPLACE PCM relay.




Check contact work in connected state:

By means of a control cable fused (1A), connect pin 1 of the PCM relay, component side, the positive terminal of the battery.
By means of a control cable, connect pin 2 of the PCM component side relay to the negative terminal of the battery.
Measure the resistance between PCM relay pin 3 and pin 5, component side.
The measured resistance is smaller than 2 ohms?
If so, the PCM relay is in good condition.
If not, REPLACE PCM relay.

Contrôle et vérification Note : Le module électronique générique (GEM) fait partie du boîtier électrique central (CJB). Note : Si le module GEM est remplacé, le module neuf doit être configuré après la pose. A cet effet, les données spécifiques au véhicule sont extraites du module à remplacer à l'aide de l'équipement de diagnostic et sont transférées dans le module neuf.
